Happy
New Year to me! I am going on a journey. A chance in a lifetime--one I have
always wanted. It all started years ago in English class with Mrs. Morris.
I loved English and I loved to write. Over the years I have dabbled a bit.
At the
age of 44 I find myself not quite where I want to be in life, but I have
found the release of writing to enhance my being and discovering who I am.
I have also found through Empowered Recovery who Robin is and who Robin
can continue to work on being. A chance has come upon me today with the
start of the New Year. A chance to be able to share my writings with
others. A chance to help others. A chance to help others see the light. So
it is with great excitement and anticipation that I say to Doug. I am
ready. I am ready to share.
I am
honored to be able to have a section of Empowered Recovery to share my
writings, the lessons I learned. This is a great start for me. One of my
longer term goals is to write a book with the help of some great friends
here Sue and Alicia. Many have said that after reading some of
my poems, I should publish them. For now I will start here and see where
my journey leads.
I wish
you all well and I hope you can find inspiration from the words I share.

A
Note From Doug Kelley, Founder of ER Robin
is the type of person who cares deeply about others, and is very
considerate and thoughtful in her efforts to encourage and upbuild. She
has the rare ability to be fiercely honest with herself as well as take
responsibility for her actions--both positive and negative. Her writings
reflect that refreshing honesty as they do a tender and compassionate
heart. I convey to her my "Real-Live Human Being" award for her
bold efforts to feel the fear, and do it anyway. I know you will be
inspired by her reflections and unique perspective. I am. |
